The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 brought about the concept of risk assessment for all work activities. This set of Regulations place a legal duty on line managers to ensure that a suitable and sufficient risk assessment is carried out.
This one day course is designed to provide attendees with the basic skills and knowledge to enable them to assess the risks involved with an activity or work place and then further develop suitable safe systems of work including the writing of method statements.
Who should attend the course?
The course is designed for those who have responsibility for the health and safety of others working under their control.
Those who would benefit from this course would include: Directors, Managers, Foremen, Supervisors and those who carry out risk assessments and write method statements.
Course Aims
To give attendees the knowledge, experience and confidence to carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments and write subsequent method statements.
Training Methods
The course will be in the form of a PowerPoint presentation and include tutorials, individual and syndicate exercises.

Assessment
Each delegate will receive be required to take part in the practical exercise and pass a test paper prior to completion.
